Clothes & wardrobe

Ownable looks, a death-proof wardrobe & the salon chair

Clothes are pure look — no stats, no durability. 6 pieces exist across 3 wardrobe rows (Top, Bottom, Feet), and the wardrobe that holds them is death-proof.

Every piece currently in the build is a creation basic — the catalogue is the character-creation wardrobe, and no clothing beyond it is out there to find or trade yet.

How the wardrobe works

A piece of clothing exists as an ordinary bag item until you WEAR it from the bag, which consumes the item into your wardrobe. The wardrobe is permanent: it survives death and full crew wipes.

Taking a piece out of the wardrobe turns it back into a bag item, tradeable again. Both directions preserve scarcity: a piece is either an item or a wardrobe entry, never both.

The basics are what character creation offers you: you pick one top, one bottom and one pair of shoes, and those three are the only clothes you own when you walk out. The basics you passed over are ordinary cosmetics after that — general stores stock them, and they trade like anything else.

Any clothing row can be worn bare: you can take something off without putting anything else on.

Death & trade

Worn clothes never drop when you die. They are wardrobe state, not bag state — only what you carry in the bag scatters.

In the bag a garment is inert — it never arms, never breaks, and trades, drops and sells like any other item. A bagged garment weighs a light 0.6 — a slot cost, not a burden.

Clothes are pure look: no perks, no element, no durability. Amulets, capes and masks are gear with their own economy — worn from the bag, shown read-only in the wardrobe view.

The salon

Salon stylists in towns restyle your hair, colors, face and body shape. A haircut is not an identity change — no race, no gender, no age — and the salon does not touch clothes: those change in the bag's CLOTHES view.
